It makes for interesting reading, not only due to the traditional language it is written but in the philosophy that there is an energy everywhere, a thinking substance, which moves life and delivers what we focus upon. Many readers believe this thinking substance is God related, heaven like or a universal force. You will make up your own mid on this.
I was brought up in a Catholic family and attended church every Sunday and at school. I never found all my answers to life and love and was hungry for knowledge. At nineteen years of age, I witnessed the passing at home, of my Father who had terminal cancer and my life was never to be the same. My Spiritual Teachers today are Esther and Jerry Hicks, and their teachings of Abraham. I believe that Wallace D Wattles before 1910 publishment of this book knew what we know now. It’s not what we say or do that matters, it’s what we THINK that means everything.
I first read Wallace’s book in my early twenties and did not act on any of his theories. I then re-read it in 2007 and discovered that his beliefs aligned still today, with my own personal spiritual beliefs, that we are energy and we are constantly attracting through thought vibration.
